FOR MY HOUSE WILL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL NATIONS
And Yeshua [Jesus] came up to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Ruach ha-Kodesh [Holy Spirit], teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20, Tree of Life Version)

Why did Charlie Kirk entitle his book, Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform your Life? Isn’t the Sabbath only for the Jewish people?
In this book, Charlie Kirk recently expressed what a blessing the Sabbath was to him before his tragic death. There are many of us who have experienced this same joy of God’s days/calendar for many years. Like Charlie, we were a part of traditional Christianity but, by God’s grace, we were led by the Holy Spirit to follow the example of our Messiah Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus). Over 40 years ago, we began to honor these days appointed by the God of Israel for all of His people.
Did you know that Yeshua was the only perfect example God gave for everyone to follow? However, many teachers and denominational founders have ignored His example. Their denominational doctrines have created two different cultures with Jewish believers keeping the Sabbath and Christians meeting on Sunday. We believe this did not bring forth the unity between the Jewish believers and those from the Nations described in the New Covenant as “one new man” (Ephesians 2:15). How can we be “one new man” with two separate cultures and meeting days?
Most people have been taught that the Sabbath and other holy days were only for the Jewish people. But this is not the way the New Covenant was written. We see numerous examples of Yeshua and His disciples observing these days and teaching ALL others to do the same.
We believe these two different cultures have originated from misinterpretations of the Apostle Paul’s letters. We find in 2 Peter 3:16, where the Apostle Peter warned us that Paul’s letters were hard to understand and that many would “twist to their own destruction.” Hopefully, today we can heed Peter’s warning and restore the correct interpretation of Paul’s letters that were meant to correct, encourage, and strengthen new believers; not to change God’s eternal commandments.
We know from the ancient prophets there was always a special blessing for anyone, from any nation, who was willing to keep the Sabbath and join themselves to God’s covenant family:
Isaiah 56:6-7, “Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants—Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and holds fast My covenant—Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
In these verses, we see foreigners (those from the nations) who: join themselves to the Lord, serve Him, love the name of the Lord, keep the Sabbath, and hold to His covenant. We believe this is being fulfilled today by the multitudes from the nations who are now following Yeshua’s example and keeping all of God’s Commandments.
Jeremiah also prophesied about the last days when Gentiles would realize they had been taught falsehood and God would make Himself known to them. We read in Jeremiah 16:19-21:
“O Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, ‘Surely our fathers have inherited lies, worthlessness and unprofitable things.’ Will a man make gods for himself, which are not gods? ‘Therefore behold, I will cause them to know My hand and My might; And they shall know that My name is the Lord.’”
Our web site is dedicated to furthering the understanding that no matter what group of people we were born into; we should seek to walk in Messiah Yeshua’s footsteps. Let us reject all past doctrines that try to uphold two different paths to please God. This includes all: religions, denominations, sects, and teachings that have prevented unity and created separate paths. In fact, Isaiah 56:3, warns against this separation:
“Do not let the son of the foreigner Who has joined himself to the Lord Speak, saying, “The Lord has utterly separated me from His people.”
The Apostle Paul reinforced this when he wrote in Ephesians 2:14-19 that Messiah has made Jewish believers and non-Jewish believers from all the nations into ONE, under the same Covenant:
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation…For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God…”
This is actually one of the main points of the New Covenant where we see Jewish and non-Jewish believers from the nations, worshipping together on the Sabbaths, without walls of separation between them. While today, we cannot recreate that same exact culture and society of the first century; we do believe we can apply the principles that were communicated to us in the New Covenant writings.
As promised in the Scriptures, knowledge of the Sabbath has led to a joyful and blessed life for us and we also pray that for you!
We recommend that you use our articles as an outline for your own personal Bible study or with a group. Simply study each Bible verse reference in sequence as it appears in our articles and focus on the main points we have made. Paul encourages us in 2 Tim 2:15 to:
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”
